Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Feeling Stressed, Stuck, Overwhelmed, Unhappy? Want some support with parenting? Worried about your child? Or want to improve your relationship with yourself and/or others?

I help people to interrupt old patterns and increase positive, life-affirming skills to create a happier, more balanced and satisfying life.

I enjoy working with children, teens, adults, and families who are dealing with a variety of issues, including trauma. I have extensive experience working with addiction and the justice system.

As a careful and compassionate listener, I provide a safe place to explore and untangle problems. My approach is holistic, respectful of the whole person, grounded in mindfulness and the principles of non-judgment and compassion. An integrative approach may include traditional talk therapy, and/or the Expressive Arts, including Sandplay or SoulCollage®, to increase access to creativity, and build skills based on a person’s unique strengths and talents.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
