Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have been in the mental health field for over 12 years. As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I received training and focused on the following modes of treatment: attachment theory, play therapy, in-depth psychology, psychodynamic, strength based, trauma informed, among other evidence based models. Additionally, I have experience working in multidisciplinary settings providing collaborative quality care and psychotherapeutic treatment. I am a bilingual MFT that works with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. I have practiced in a wide range of settings from working in-home, and inpatient to outpatient environments, for non-profit and for-profit agencies. My experiences include treating clients dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, stress management, self-identity/esteem issues, and ADHD. I have worked extensively with families addressing struggles with adjustment to transitions; phase of life, of parental separation and blended families, and co-parenting. In my leisure time, I retreat in nature by way of gardening, hiking and running. I also enjoy traveling and learning about cultures and take great joy in cooking and eating various ethnically diverse cuisines with family and friends.

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Walnut Creek, CA

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
