Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Jeanie Cohen, M.A., L.M.F.T., has been practicing individual and couple psychotherapy since 1981 in Woodland Hills and Westwood Village. Ms. Cohen’s style of treatment is to understand a person’s pain, symptom-logy, self-sabotage, and relationships. Sometimes it is difficult to know what one wants or how one feels, and the permission to put one first before another. It does take courage which includes a person’s vulnerability and strength to live life knowing you are: lovable, valuable, powerful, capable and equal. I have found with patience, motivation, and a sense of knowing that “I have had enough of this pain” one has the ability to brake through their stagnation and create the quality of life that is desired.

Are you stressed out? Do you sometimes find yourself snapping at your children? Would you describe your relationship with your husband as “distant”? Or do you feel like you are going to lose it if someone doesn’t give you a break? Being a mother, wife, or daughter can stretch us to our limits. During times like these it can feel like the world has been turned “upside down”. There is HOPE! You don’t have to figure this out alone. Let’s talk and see if I can help you make things “right side up” again.
