Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Jeanne Ablon, LMFT has been a practicing therapist for over 17 years. Jeanne has worked in many different settings with people who have had a variety of issues which include: schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, substance abuse, eating disorders, rape survivors, domestic violence, people in crisis, grief/loss, the homeless and people who want to improve the quality of their lives although they might be higher functioning.

Although I like cognitive behavioral therapy, I will always adjust tow hat works well for the client, given his/her level of understanding and functioning. I think one of the most important pieces to the therapeutic relationship in trust. Another extremely vital ingredient is a “simpatico” connection between the client and therapist, with common comfort and understanding of the work that needs to be done, and the most comfortable way for the client to do it.

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Temecula, CA

I’ve been in private practice in Temecula since 1990. I work with individuals, couples and families on a variety of issues, using a straight-forward approach to problem solving. While I listen with empathy, I am an “active” therapist, meaning I make suggestions, give direction and homework to partner with my clients so they can solve their problems in a timely, effective manner.
