Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I help adults find emotional freedom and joy. I take a positive, non-pathologizing, strength and values-based approach to psychotherapy and coaching that understands that clients are fundamentally whole and have wisdom inside. I provide a supportive, friendly, confidential and emotionally-safe environment for clients to begin to experience that realization and healing directly. As a foundation, I help my clients learn and practice mindfulness as a way of noticing their experience, learning to inquire into themselves deeply, and be nourished by their own beauty and life. I utilize (ACT) Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to explore client's values and goals to help them take steps to live life in line with their values. I often use creative and expressive modalities, forms of meditation congruent with client's inclinations and interests, Gestalt-style exercises, Voice Dialogue (IFS), Continuum movement, positive psychology, as well as a form of inquiry called The Work of Byron Katie, amongst other types of exercises. My work with clients is rooted in non-dual wisdom, which takes the accessing of one's inner radiance, heart/spirit, and wise mind as the the path of healing and joy. My clients are always encouraged to do what supports their health and happiness. I offer in-office, online, and phone appointments. To learn more: www.freeheartfreelife.com
