Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
As a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I have diverse experience working with children, families, adults, and couples towards developing more satisfying relationships, patterns, and overall ways of living. My goal is to help you find balance in your life, whether that means working with you and your children to decrease disruptive patterns and develop stronger bonds, working through relationship conflicts, problems from your past, or developing a greater awareness of yourself and ability to live fully in the present. While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life. By applying complementary therapy approaches and techniques, we will unearth long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life. We will look at ways you, your children, or your family can take back control of your emotions, decisions, and ways of relating in the present. If you're looking for extra support and guidance through a challenging situation or relationship, looking for help with your child or adolescent, or you're just ready to move in a new direction in your life, I look forward to discussing how therapy can help you reach your goals.

Are you stressed out? Do you sometimes find yourself snapping at your children? Would you describe your relationship with your husband as “distant”? Or do you feel like you are going to lose it if someone doesn’t give you a break? Being a mother, wife, or daughter can stretch us to our limits. During times like these it can feel like the world has been turned “upside down”. There is HOPE! You don’t have to figure this out alone. Let’s talk and see if I can help you make things “right side up” again.
