Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Relationships are so important to our lives. We need love, support and connection with others to feel good. For various reasons, you may find that you are experiencing difficulty within your life. Through individual, couples, or family therapy, we can work to reconnect you to the important people in your life. For Parents: Is parenting your child with special needs overwhelming? Is your marriage suffering? Do you have any energy left for yourself? Are you consumed with worry about your child’s future? Do you find parenting less satisfying than you imagined? Are you pulling away from friends? Are you stresses out and worn out from your multiple roles as mother, wife, employee? You may benefit from therapy. I may be able to help you through this challenging time.

I am a licensed marital and family therapist that can help you achieve a more satisfying relationship with your child, regain the intimacy with your spouse, and support you to move forward in your life. I have 10 years of experience working with families and children with special needs. I understand the difficulties associated with this unexpected life experience.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
