Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Therapy is a uniquely personal and intimate journey of finding and reclaiming your self. Many of us have been taught to keep the best and most vulnerable parts of ourselves hidden to keep ourselves safe and away from harm or shame. If you have suffered a loss, are going through a break up, recognizing "toxic" relationships that continually feel bad, navigating the next step in your life, or realizing the impact of childhood trauma, let's talk about how working together may help. Therapy is about healing and growth and no one can do it alone. I enjoy working with a diverse range of clients and in particular with Highly Sensitive People, introverts, trauma survivors, grief & loss, children of critical parents, and issues around sexuality. I tend to work with people who are sensitive, have strong self-judgments and believe they are somehow defective or broken. I believe therapy should be accessible to those drawn to my practice and offer a sliding-scale for individuals and couples. Having been in my own therapy, I an truly appreciate the vulnerability and courage called on for the deep transformation that is possible in our unique relationship.
