I work with adults of all ages in individual counseling. I use an integrative, psychodynamic approach. This means that we will talk and explore your world and resolve issues. If you like, we may also use sand tray, art therapy or cognitive-behavioral skills when we feel it can enhance the therapy.
Depression, anxiety, grief, anger, guilt, shame, and fear are often the debilitating side effects of past and current experiences that can overwhelm our natural abilities to cope. Whether the issues are of life transitions, job or school stress, relationships, communication, parenting, perinatal difficulties, grief or loss, trauma, illness or disability, or cross-cultural conflicts, they will be treated with sensitivity, respect, and experience.
Additionally, my nursing background has given me unique insight into the stresses of clients also dealing with health or healthcare issues.
