Personal Statement

Personal Statement:

Life can be frustrating, confusing, overwhelming and painful. Are you ready to move beyond this stress toward a sense of control and even joy? In joining my clients in an atmosphere of comfort, safety, honor and understanding, change happens.

I work with adults of all ages in individual counseling. I use an integrative, psychodynamic approach. This means that we will talk and explore your world and resolve issues. If you like, we may also use sand tray, art therapy or cognitive-behavioral skills when we feel it can enhance the therapy.

Depression, anxiety, grief, anger, guilt, shame, and fear are often the debilitating side effects of past and current experiences that can overwhelm our natural abilities to cope. Whether the issues are of life transitions, job or school stress, relationships, communication, parenting, perinatal difficulties, grief or loss, trauma, illness or disability, or cross-cultural conflicts, they will be treated with sensitivity, respect, and experience. Additionally, my nursing background has given me unique insight into the stresses of clients also dealing with health or healthcare issues. If you are ready for some change in your life, please contact me. I look forward to working with you.

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Temecula, CA

I’ve been in private practice in Temecula since 1990. I work with individuals, couples and families on a variety of issues, using a straight-forward approach to problem solving. While I listen with empathy, I am an “active” therapist, meaning I make suggestions, give direction and homework to partner with my clients so they can solve their problems in a timely, effective manner.
