Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
My work is rooted in deep respect for the dignity of each being. There is an inter-relationship between the body, mind and spirit and I trust the power of each person to heal.

Although we don’t choose the trauma’s that are brought our way, we do get to choose how to cope with them in a healthy, healing way. Together, we will explore those choices and find resources that strengthen you and help you to have a more enriched life.

Using an eclectic approach, with an emphasis on cognitive-behavioral, I consider each individual’s unique background, current situation, needs and values. I am “straight forward” and will work collaboratively with you to meet your needs and goals. I believe that a multi-dimensional, team approach is important. I refer to other professionals for a variety of issues to support you on your healing journey.

It is your right to find peace.

Are you stressed out? Do you sometimes find yourself snapping at your children? Would you describe your relationship with your husband as “distant”? Or do you feel like you are going to lose it if someone doesn’t give you a break? Being a mother, wife, or daughter can stretch us to our limits. During times like these it can feel like the world has been turned “upside down”. There is HOPE! You don’t have to figure this out alone. Let’s talk and see if I can help you make things “right side up” again.
