Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I care deeply about marriages, families, and personal growth. In 35 years of being married and raising three children I know that it is no easy road and I’ve made plenty of mistakes. My own family of origin was fraught with disorder and dysfunction. In other works, if you’re struggling – I get it. As a Marriage and Family Therapist I have been trained as a relationship specialist. I can effectively help and support you in your relationship difficulties, and have the skills to address the personal issues that are having a negative impact on your relationships; things like depression, anxiety, anger, and addictive behaviors. As a Christian therapist it is my desire to help you individually, as a couple, or as a family to find and enjoy the kinds of relationship God has intended for you. I would be honored to be a part of your journey.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
