Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
With masters' degrees in both psychology and nutrition, I use this training and unique perspective to offer clients of all ages a more comprehensive view of their problems, and then work with them to restore a sense of balance and purpose in their lives. Clinically, my specialization is in the holistic treatment of resistant anxiety, depression and addiction. Sensitive to emotional needs as well, I make sure therapy is a safe, confidential place where clients can let down their guard, process emotional pain and begin to put their lives back together. I have counseled adolescents for nearly two decades. Developmentally, it's a tough time as teens struggle to separate from parents, develop a clear identity, and establish healthy relationships outside the family. I have the rapport, experience and understanding to help your teen navigate this major life transition. My approach to psychotherapy integrates cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic, family systems and somatic psychotherapy. My nutritional training helps me better understand the dietary and physical issues underlying my client's struggles. With this greater awareness of how mind, body and mood are interrelated, I work with clients to promote well-being.

Donna Yorke, M.A.

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Temecula, CA

I’ve been in private practice in Temecula since 1990. I work with individuals, couples and families on a variety of issues, using a straight-forward approach to problem solving. While I listen with empathy, I am an “active” therapist, meaning I make suggestions, give direction and homework to partner with my clients so they can solve their problems in a timely, effective manner.
