Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
My specific and licensed scope of practice is that which deals with the interpersonal. In other words, I will work side by side with you on solving those relationship issues that are causing you anger, depression, anxiety, frustration, and grief. I have a lot of experience dealing with those who are survivors of sexual and physical abuse; those who are living with and working along side those with rigid personality disorders; individuals who are living with HIV/AIDS and other chronic illnesses; and those who have developmental and physical disabilities and the families that care for them. I am known as an extremely kind, compassionate, and empathic soul with small town manners and a big heart, who has extensive personal and professional history with extreme mental illness. I also know a lot about working with those dealing with monocular vision impairment, being blind in one eye myself. I am a former stage actor and Hollywood Story Analyst, who spent many years developing my therapeutic craft in the non-profit realm as a Marriage and Family Therapist. I am passionate about Depth Psychology and the idea that the Soul and the Imagination are one and the same.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
