Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
If you are feeling overwhelmed, powerless and defeated by your current circumstances and are looking to create a life filled with confidence, clarity and hope, then its time to make a commitment to yourself. As a psychotherapist, I help individuals, couples and families journey through the tight and sticky parts of life on to a path filled with joy, passion, excitement and love. I've been practicing psychotherapy for over 20 years. My work has evolved into a unique synthesis of Somatic, Narrative, Self Psychology and Attachment theoretical models and practices. The most powerful tool remains the heart felt connection between the therapist and the client and the extension of that connection between family and marital relationships.

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
San Rafael, CA

My therapeutic style is non-judgmental, supportive, and interactive. My work is based on establishing a safe environment where trust can grow. I view symptoms as a way to call attention to unrecognized needs and unexpressed feelings. The goals of treatment include; learning to identify and express emotions, learning to set appropriate boundaries, developing skills such as self-soothing and impluse control and improving self-esteem.
