Personal Statement:
Jon Hershfield, MFT is a licensed psychotherapist in the states of Maryland (LCM524) and California (MFC50490) and director of The OCD and Anxiety Center of Greater Baltimore (www.ocdbaltimore.com). He received his Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University LA. He treats adults for OCD and related disorders at his office in Hunt Valley, MD and via teletherapy throughout the states of Maryland and California. Previous to entering private practice full-time, he was Associate Director of the UCLA Pediatric OCD Intensive Outpatient Program at Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital. Previous to that he treated OCD and related disorders in individual, group, and intensive formats at the OCD Center of Los Angeles. Since 2005, Jon has been the moderator of the online support group Pure_O_OCD (http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/pure_o_ocd/), a discussion board devoted to promoting a better understanding of mental compulsions in OCD. He is also a professional contributor to OCD-Support (http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/OCD-Support/) and the facebook group EverythingOCD (https://www.facebook.com/EverythingOCD). Jon has presented multiple times at the International OCD Foundation and Anxiety and Depression Association of America annual conferences and is a professional member of the IOCDF, AAMFT, CAMFT, ABCT, TLC, and ADAA. He is co-author of The Mindfulness Workbook for OCD and author of When a Family Member Has OCD.
