Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) and with more than 11 years of combined education and experience, I have a background of applied experience within counseling psychology in various clinical settings - including: community clinics, forensic mental health, private practice, locked inpatient units, school based counseling services, hospitals and medical clinics. Populations that I have worked with include youth and adults within the modalities of couples, families, groups and individual treatment. Counseling embodies reflection, comfort, and rebuilding. My main commitment to counseling is to provide a safe space for sharing and growth in an environment that is free from judgment. Based in San Carlos, California, I am proud to serve English and Spanish speaking community members of the culturally and spiritually diverse San Francisco Bay and Peninsula areas. My goal within counseling psychology is to continuously provide a high quality of care for clients seeking to create change. By working together, we can explore thoughts, feelings, experiences and personal impact. My passion for the therapeutic process stems from the respect I hold for the clients I have been honored to work with.
