Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I work with adults needing help with relational issues and I am particularly looking to reach those clients who may be underserved in other therapeutic settings. I welcome artists; Burning Man attendees; people in the BDSM and Open Relationship communities; gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender clients; and individuals, couples, and other relationship groupings. I am BDSM and open relationship knowledgeable. I offer expertise in communication, polyamory, and open relationships from a Jungian point of view. I help couples decide if they are coming in for relationship counseling or relationship canceling. I am interested in exploring new archetypes for masculinity and femininity. I support people creating rites of passage in their own lives: emerging from the family as a differentiated individual, the transition into parenthood, the beginning or ending of a relationship whether by choice or circumstance, finding a vocation that they enjoy and that energizes them. Coming from a Jungian background having attended Pacifica Graduate Institute, I enjoy working with archetypes, Shadow, dream material, play therapy for adults, and working through past experiences for present benefit.

Are you stressed out? Do you sometimes find yourself snapping at your children? Would you describe your relationship with your husband as “distant”? Or do you feel like you are going to lose it if someone doesn’t give you a break? Being a mother, wife, or daughter can stretch us to our limits. During times like these it can feel like the world has been turned “upside down”. There is HOPE! You don’t have to figure this out alone. Let’s talk and see if I can help you make things “right side up” again.
