Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
While working as a licensed psychotherapist since 1981, I have obtained experience providing services to clients with various psychological problems in the geographical areas of Covina and Rancho Cucamonga. I am a member of AAMFT and CAMFT. When required, same or next day appointments can be made in the afternoon, evening or on Saturday. I am on many managed care and insurance provider panels. Types of therapy used can be humanistic/existential, process therapy and/or voice therapy. My clinical expertise ranges from childhood trauma as well as adjustment, depression, and anxiety disorders. Additionally, I assist clients with co-dependency issues or family, marital, and relationship problems. With children and adolescents I work with behavioral problems as well as anxiety and depression. Modes of therapy can involve combinations of individual, conjoint, marital or group therapies. Ethnic diversities in my practice include Hispanic, Caucasian, African-American, and Asian clients. On the occasion that patients require hospitalization, I work in conjunction with a psychiatrist.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
