Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
We all want our relationships to be a source of love, intimacy, and fulfillment. What we don't expect, is that we must work to make that happen. I can help you to find - or build - a strong relationship that is healthy both emotionally and sexually, with the kind of communication that is essential. You don't have to live with frequent arguments, or distance. I have over 20 years of experience as a therapist. That expertise helps me to stay neutral, see both sides, and sort out what needs to be changed. My style is warm, clear, and interactive.

My areas of specialization are: 1. Individual and couples therapy to deal with issues of communication, intimacy, sexuality. 2. Addiction recovery for all substances. Therapy for "love addiction," and its opposite, avoidance of intimacy and commitment. 3. Therapy and coaching for individuals in all forms of the arts and entertainment.

I am a licensed psychotherapist with over 20 years of experience in Los Angeles. I am the author of the book SOMEONE TO TALK TO; Understanding How Therapy Heals. I have been a working artist all my life, and have helped people in the creative arts fields throughout my practice.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
