Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
My mission is to support your growth as an individual and as a participant in relationships in your life. I have a conversational style that encourages you to feel well-heard and safe in the counseling relationship. I enjoy working with individuals who are experiencing stress, anxiety or depression in their lives and are ready to make a change and move towards feeling better. I work with couples to increase trust, communication and respect, and to improve intimacy. It is a privilege to accompany you on your life journey during our work together.

About My Practice

Office Hours
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday: 11 am to 7 pm Thursday 11 am to 2 pm
I offer supportive, relationship-focused counseling to individuals over the age of 18, couples and families. Our work may include education about techniques to use when dealing with anxiety, depression or stress. We may investigate family of origin issues, self-talk and core beliefs, communication difficulties, and life transitions. I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) which is found to be helpful with trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder. As a meditation leader, I can teach you relaxation and meditation techniques that can ease your mind, body and spirit. I work interactively and enjoy humor in the midst of our work together.

Are you stressed out? Do you sometimes find yourself snapping at your children? Would you describe your relationship with your husband as “distant”? Or do you feel like you are going to lose it if someone doesn’t give you a break? Being a mother, wife, or daughter can stretch us to our limits. During times like these it can feel like the world has been turned “upside down”. There is HOPE! You don’t have to figure this out alone. Let’s talk and see if I can help you make things “right side up” again.
