Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Julie De Santo, LMFT, is the Director of Trauma Services at One to One Treatment, whose offices are located in the West Hollywood/Beverly Hills area of Los Angeles. One to One offers intensive outpatient programs for both addiction and trauma. Julie is a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP) and is fully trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), both highly effective methods for treating the devastating effects of trauma and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Julie helps her clients to appropriately assimilate and adapt material that has been having a negative impact on their lives. To do this, she supports clients in learning to access the intrinsic healing powers of their own bodies and minds to achieve relief, which leads to healing and the restoration of balance, resiliency, and a sense of joy.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
