Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
We all need someone to talk to. You can talk to me. I’ve been counseling individuals and couples for over 20 years and have helped many people save their relationship, save their jobs, and save their feelings of self-worth and optimism.

Sometimes clients come in with specific hurdles they can’t figure out how to get beyond and I help them learn the tools that will enable them to climb over or around the problem, or remove it. Sometimes it’s an emotion a client needs to talk about, a life condition, a fear of abandonment, a longtime resentment. We’ll talk about anything and everything you feel comfortable exploring. And we’ll decide, together, you and I, or you and your significant other and I, whether we seem like a good match. You may have tried other therapists and been unhappy with the results, but you haven’t tried me. I can help.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
