Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I believe that facing our lowest lows is as much a part of a healthy emotional life as is experiencing our highest highs. I offer warmth, approachability, confidentiality and humor as well as up to date clinical expertise, ethical practice and customer service. My Santa Rosa office is conveniently located with a large, free parking lot, and is comfortable and spacious enough for families and groups. Adoption issues are a specialty -- from adopted persons coping with search and reunion, to young families adjusting to adoption. You might also say I’m pretty practiced with the most ‘difficult’ of teens, since as the family therapist at the Sonoma County Probation Camp, I help juveniles in custody get their lives back on track. I also savor the variety and challenge of working with men, women, children and families with such themes as: coping with stress, ‘shaping’ negative behavior, career decisions, anxiety and depression, relationships, grief, and understanding and coping with deeper issues. I am very open to incorporating psychiatry and/or other resources into the therapy as needed.

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Carlsbad, CA

I provide a therapeutic environment that allows individuals and couples to explore ideas, beliefs, life experiences, thoughts and feelings that may stand in the way of being who you truly want to be. I can help point out repeating dysfunctional patterns that may exsist in relationships at home, at work and with friends and family.I teach people how to respond in their lives versus getting caught in reacting to personalities and events.
