Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Has it come to that point where you are just needing someone to talk to? The point where something needs to change? In practicing psychotherapy for over 15 years, I have found continual reward in being able to help people find relief through the most challenging times in their lives. Providing a safe, nurturing environment is an essential ingredient in establishing trusting therapeutic relationship, and something that is greatly valued. Healing comes when you feel heard, understood and accepted during difficult times. Patients who see me express concerns related to anxiety, depression, relationships, women's issues, motherhood, self-esteem, trauma, loss. I offer a supportive/ non-judgmental, safe atmosphere to express issues and feelings, find new perspectives and develop healthier ways of coping, find your true voice, to have healthier relationships, and to overall improve quality of life. I integrate meditation and relaxation techniques into my practice for anxiety/ stress reduction. I place deep value on working together towards improving your life, developing better relationships, building self-esteem, promoting greater emotional freedom, and building greater acceptance of your feelings, your voice, your authentic self. There is no greater reward than in helping someone become who they have always been meant to be.”

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
San Rafael, CA

My therapeutic style is non-judgmental, supportive, and interactive. My work is based on establishing a safe environment where trust can grow. I view symptoms as a way to call attention to unrecognized needs and unexpressed feelings. The goals of treatment include; learning to identify and express emotions, learning to set appropriate boundaries, developing skills such as self-soothing and impluse control and improving self-esteem.
