Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
As a Marriage and Family therapist I have been able to assist clients ( in both private practice and community based non-profit agency settings) to reduce their clinical symptoms and behaviors that impact their relationships with their families, peers and co-workers. Over the years I have treated both victims and perpetrators of family violence in individual and group. I have been in private practice in San Gabriel Valley and in the San Fernando Valley. Beginning in 1988 I have worked as a multifamily group therapist facilitating family group sessions in hospital, residential and partial hospitalization in the past. Since 1999, I have presented seminars and workshops to international, national and local professional associations, organizations and universities on the subject. I train and supervise graduate students and interns since 1989. I offer individual and group consultation for licensed therapist working with difficult and resistant cases.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
