Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Prior to becoming a licensed therapist this last year, I worked extensively for the past 23 years with groups of staff at UCLA who were experiencing problems working in a team setting. I worked closely with these individuals to help them learn how to better cope with issues of anger, stress, and breakdowns in communication. Now, I am utilizing my experience working with individuals and couples in a private practice setting. We work together to help raise their level of satisfaction in their present relationships. I specialize in working in-depth to surface patterns of relating and coping from the past that have become ineffective in present relationships. I do this by establishing a strong caring relationship with each client, which is based on an environment of trust, safety and problem solving.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
