Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I am a licensed marriage and family therapist in Indiana and California. I provide therapy with a client population that includes adults and adolescents, multicultural, and alternative lifestyles, offering psychotherapy for individuals, couples, families and groups. In my work, I have successfully treated clients from many different ethnic, cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. I have over 10 years of practice with clients experiencing problems with blended families, gay/lesbian relationships, intergenerational issues, self-esteem and personal growth, conflict management, couples communication and intimacy concerns, divorce, parental coaching, and the management of grief and loss. My speciality is working with LGBT clients and addiction recovery. I work with clients who have been experiencing emotional issues (depression, anxiety, compulsion) and trouble coping with life transitions. In addition to being a marriage and family therapist, I am retired U. S. Navy and has an appreciation for the challenges of military life, active duty and veterans. I offer an integrative, strength-based approach to help clients develop their own voices and pursue their unique paths to individual fulfillment. My approach is collaborative and relational with a focus on the holistic health of my clients.
