Personal Statement:
Welcome and bienvenidos to my profile. I am a Marriage and Family Therapist working in San Diego, CA. I have ten years of clinical experience working with people from a variety of backgrounds. I have worked with many different topics including trauma, domestic violence, and grief & loss. As a therapist, I would describe myself as genuine, compassionate, and straightforward. I feel that therapy was my calling and feel blessed to be the person people come to for guidance. I believe that everyone is capable of growth and look forward to joining you in that journey. My specialties include: grief & loss, depression, stress & anxiety, identity issues & self esteem, women's issues, trauma, domestic violence trauma, communication & intimacy issues, addictions, difficult life transitions, and college & graduate related stressors. I offer individual, couples, and family counseling. I am bilingual Spanish speaking and offer all of my services in Spanish. I also offer sliding scale options for students and for low income individuals and families. I use a variety of therapy approaches, but primarily use Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness Skills, Intergenerational Therapy, and Attachment Theory.
