Personal Statement:
Karuna Licht is a psychotherapist, teacher, and artist. Her work reflects twenty-five years of continuous self-inquiry exploring what it means to be a woman who is loving, wise, creative and whole.

In the unfolding of her spiritual journey, Karuna’s “real” education began with training and retreats, exploring Buddhist practices, psychotherapy and feminist perspective. She regards this self-inquiry as a sacred inner journey.

Karuna is committed to encouraging others to explore the unexplored self, to gain freedom from one’s oppressive habits, opinions, self-abusive criticism and negativity. She says if one is to find inner peace it is necessary to develop a constructive and supportive outlook. Inner healing is ultimately necessary in order to be available do healing work on the planet and to create a peaceful outer world.
