Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
One of my favorite things to do is help people who've never been in counseling before experience it for what it really can be...an effective resource for personal support and "outside-the-box" thinking when you're going through tough times. Counseling can be especially helpful if you feel "stuck" and unable to find the breakthrough you're looking for. A therapist's perspective often helps you see things you may have been "too close to the action" to see for yourself. Ready to take that next step? I'd love to meet you and see how I might be able to help.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
