Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I use a compassionate, collaborative approach in working with individuals of all ages and families. Typical issues for young children include dealing with the effects of divorce, loss of a loved one, and anxiety. I see middle-school-aged children with similar issues as well as those experiencing bullying and/or cutting. Adolescents who see me are often struggling with identity, stress, and transitional issues. Adults I work with may be struggling in personal and/or work relationships. They have often experienced stressful situations as children (trauma, neglect, loss) which are impacting their quality of life.

Donna Yorke, M.A.

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Temecula, CA

I’ve been in private practice in Temecula since 1990. I work with individuals, couples and families on a variety of issues, using a straight-forward approach to problem solving. While I listen with empathy, I am an “active” therapist, meaning I make suggestions, give direction and homework to partner with my clients so they can solve their problems in a timely, effective manner.
