Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
If you want to come to therapy or you need to come to therapy, it can be a place where you can increase your knowledge and experience a sense of progress no matter how stuck you feel. Even if those with whom you are having difficult relationships won't or can't come to therapy, you can come by yourself and gain the benefit of talking things over in a supportive, non-judgmental atmosphere. Some of the clients who have worked with me in the past have explored issues such as Alcohol/Substance Abuse, Anxiety, Grief and Loss, Child/Adolescent Problems, Communication, Couples/Marital Issues, Depression, Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault, EAP, Eldercare/Aging, Family-Run Business, Health Issues, Terminal Illness of a Loved One, Verbal/Emotional Abuse and Workplace Stress. We will work together to identify your needs and goals. In the first session, you can determine if you are comfortable working with me. I can also refer you to other behavioral health professionals should the need arise, including referrals for medication management. I have Saturday, Weekend, and Evening hours in addition to daytime for your convenience.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
