Kathleen "Kay" Wenger, M.A. is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, specializing in individual, couples counseling and marriage therapy and maintains a private practice in Irvine CA, and Laguna Beach, CA. Kathleen has over 20 years of experience as a marriage and family therapist. She is a graduate of Pepperdine University earning a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology with and Emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. In addition to being a prominent relationship therapist, Kathleen has been the Manager of M.A. Clinical Training and Professional Development at Pepperdine University since 1992, where she continues to train students to become licensed marriage and family therapists. Kathleen is passionate about her work with couples. She co-founded the National Registry of Marriage Friendly Therapists LLC, in 2005 to help couples throughout the country gain assistance with their marital/relational issues. Kathleen is an interactive therapist. Her therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. She integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. I enjoy working with couples who want to recapture the trust, love, respect and compassion that they once felt. In a world that can divide us, I work with couples to focus on the positive attributes in their relationship and to explore forgiveness for the mistakes that are made along the relational journey.
