Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I work with adults, couples, adolescents and families and have a strong clinical focus in anxiety issues, including social anxiety, panic, phobias, and PTSD. I also, work with depression, low self-esteem, relationships and boundaries/assertiveness, and past childhood physical and sexual abuse. I met my clients on a “real” level, bringing a down-to-earth, warm and also insightful, direct approach to our work. I also work with couples and families around parenting issues, adolescents’ coming of age, communication issues, trust/fidelity, sexual vitality and with the G/L//B/T community.

I use a combination of cognitive-behavioral approaches and depth/insight oriented work, and am also trained to advanced levels in EMDR, which is highly effective in treating anxiety, PTSD, stress and crisis such as death, divorce, and major life transitions.

I look forward to forming a collaborative alliance with you on your journey towards greater well being and ease.
