Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
My clinical approach is rooted in psychodynamic work and I am influenced by family systems theory as well as supportive and humanistic strategies. I have widespread experience working with those who are dealing with the after-effects of childhood trauma and I support those dealing with daily struggles of anxiety, depression and life transitions. Through this work I assist clients in understanding long-standing harmful patterns. This understanding leads to an increase in self-esteem and personal growth. <p> My work with parent-child relationships is extensive. In addition to fostering loving relationships between parents and children, I have been practicing Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) for the past two years. I have a private practice in Mill Valley and am a principal at KalikmanLloyd Therapy Group in San Francisco on Fillmore Street where I see individual adults, adolescents and children as well as families. At KalikmanLloyd Therapy Group I offer PCIT, a short-term evidence-based therapy that focuses on real-time behavioral changes in children.
