Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
My approach to therapy is to learn about the individual’s or family’s history and experiences and how they have shaped their perspective and lives. I work towards developing a partnership based on respect and trust in order to explore the meaning of these experiences, identify patterns and unrecognized obstacles and search for solutions. I believe that while the goal in therapy is as unique as the person seeking the therapy the result involves seeing more choices and the ability to act on those choices.

Judith McFarland M.A..

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Santa Rosa, CA

I am in private practice, delivering telemedicine via Skype and FaceTime or by phone. My area of special emphasis is helping people improve their important relationships, and working with my clients to decrease and stop depression. If you are reading this, chances are one or more of your important relationshps are not working very well. Whether it's difficulty with a partner or spouse, teens or parents, friends or co-workers, a troubled relationship is painful.
