Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Is anxiety or stress keeping you from living the life you want to live? I can help you identify and challenge limiting thoughts and feelings as you move toward well-being and confidence. As a Certified EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapist, I have found EMDR to be highly effective in helping my clients overcome difficulties and challenges. In addition to relieving the symptoms of trauma, EMDR has been effective in other areas such as decreasing anxiety, reducing stress, overcoming childhood sexual abuse and increasing self-esteem. You can read more about EMDR on my website. I provide a safe, confidential environment where you can discuss life’s issues without judgment. I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation. Call and see if this is a good fit for helping you work through your challenges. I provide counseling and therapy services to the greater Los Angeles Area: La Canada, Montrose, Pasadena, Glendale, La Crescenta, South Pasadena, San Gabriel Valley, Burbank, San Fernando Valley, and surrounding areas.

I know it can be scary to reach out for help, especially in a culture that tells us we should be able to solve our problems on our own and, if we can’t, there is something wrong with us. Well, I’m here to challenge that culture that values independence more than interdependence, because as humans we are designed to be connected with others in relationships. And sometimes the first relationship that needs our focused attention is the one we have with ourselves in order to ‘show up’ in our relationships with others.
