Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Kelli focuses on working individuals and families coping with difficult life transitions. During such transitions, it is easy to forget our strengths and we may continue to use maladaptive coping skills that are no longer useful.

With a Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy base, Kelli also uses insight-oriented approaches in order to create a refreshing leaning environment. Much of her experience and training surrounds working with depression, anxiety, addictions, abuse, communication and relationship issues. Kelly also has a background in working with children and teens, offering a fun and safe environment where they care able to express their feelings through art, play and music.

Service her community for over 10 years, Kelli has worked for Santa Barbara Charter School, United Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Barbara County, Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse, Domestic Violence Solutions, and currently at Recovery Road Medical Center.

Donna J. Shanahan, MA

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Pasadena, CA 91101

I am a Marriage and Family therapist in private practice. I work with individuals, couples, and families in short and long-term psychotherapy. We work together to explore memories of the relational dynamics of the individual’s family, the feelings those dynamics created for the individual as a child, and how the individual now relates to those feelings and memories.
