Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I enjoy being able to help clients in their journey through life, whether it's working on a mental health issue, self-growth and exploration, parenting, communication problems within a relationship, needing someone to listen and process life's difficulties, or another area. As a counselor I get to be in a unique position where I am able to watch people grow as they make changes in their life. I feel honored to have people trust me to take part in this journey with them, and it's a position that I don't take lightly. For some the thought of being in therapy can be overwhelming, scary, or anxiety-provoking. For others, it may be a relief to feel that you are taking the first step towards resolution. Change is never easy, and it takes courage to work on yourself, a relationship, or family problem. Sometimes life can be tough, and it can be helpful to have a therapist to help explore and process what you are going through. My hope is to create a safe environment where you feel comfortable to share and explore your deepest thoughts, feelings, and experiences.

Are you stressed out? Do you sometimes find yourself snapping at your children? Would you describe your relationship with your husband as “distant”? Or do you feel like you are going to lose it if someone doesn’t give you a break? Being a mother, wife, or daughter can stretch us to our limits. During times like these it can feel like the world has been turned “upside down”. There is HOPE! You don’t have to figure this out alone. Let’s talk and see if I can help you make things “right side up” again.
