Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Do you feel sad more often than happy or calm? Does your anxiety limit you from doing what you love? Do you feel stuck in the same patterns of thinking and behaving? Do you sometimes feel like you can’t see a way out, thinking “it’s always going to be like this?” Have you been through a big life stressor (i.e. loss of a job, divorce, death of a loved one), and feel like you can't get over it? Kristi works with individuals, couples, and families, helping them to become "unstuck," and to feel more peaceful, positive, motivated, and fulfilled. In a comfortable and supportive atmosphere, Kristi offers a highly personalized approach tailored to each of her clients' individual needs, to help attain the personal growth they are striving for. Kristi currently serves Santa Rosa and the outlaying areas (Windsor, Sebastopol, Rohnert Park, Cotati, Sonoma), providing psychotherapy to adolescents (12-17) and adults ages 18 and older.

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
San Rafael, CA

My therapeutic style is non-judgmental, supportive, and interactive. My work is based on establishing a safe environment where trust can grow. I view symptoms as a way to call attention to unrecognized needs and unexpressed feelings. The goals of treatment include; learning to identify and express emotions, learning to set appropriate boundaries, developing skills such as self-soothing and impluse control and improving self-esteem.
