Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
The difficult experiences we all had during our developmental years gets replayed in adult life as we attempt to master these experiences and work them through. As a psychoanalyst, I see my relationship with the client as the safest forum for the working through of early developmental derailments as they manifest in the client’s life and in the therapeutic relationship. In this latter relationship, I life to the surface the nature of these deprivations and provide the emotional space to grieve what was not, as well as learn how to provide for oneself that which was missed. My focus is on the client’s inner life rather than external circumstances. My style is interactive rather than passive. I believe treatment should reduce and give meaning to one’s suffering, yielding the inner freedom to live life authentically and experience the full range of emotionality.

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Carlsbad, CA

I provide a therapeutic environment that allows individuals and couples to explore ideas, beliefs, life experiences, thoughts and feelings that may stand in the way of being who you truly want to be. I can help point out repeating dysfunctional patterns that may exsist in relationships at home, at work and with friends and family.I teach people how to respond in their lives versus getting caught in reacting to personalities and events.
