Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
By considering a therapist, you are taking a step towards improving your life, examining what needs to be changed and building upon what is already working. Life can get better and you can have the power to change it. I am an LMFT with approximately ten years of experience, working with issues such as childhood trauma, parenting, boundary issues, grief and loss, and couple and family issues. I have been told that I am kind, yet direct when needed. While I am electric in my approach, I incorporate cognitive-behavioral and systems interventions into my work with clients. I have a strengths-based focus and emphasize what is already working in your life and build upon that. Schedule an appointment with me to find out if I am the right therapist for you. Take care and I wish you well.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
