Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I've been practicing psychotherapy in San Francisco for almost 20 years. I love working collaboratively with my patients, enlivening them to a sense of purpose and fulfillment in their lives and their significant relationships. I work with a range of issues including depression, anxiety, gender identity questions, life transitions and work changes, body image/eating patterns, and relationship problems. I have experience with and welcome diverse populations including genderqueer and lgbtq. My primary orientation is psychodynamic, which means looking at the ways we've learned to relate to ourselves and others. I also work somatically and creatively, drawing on various body-oriented therapies, as well as dreamwork and imagery.

Judith McFarland M.A..

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Santa Rosa, CA

I am in private practice, delivering telemedicine via Skype and FaceTime or by phone. My area of special emphasis is helping people improve their important relationships, and working with my clients to decrease and stop depression. If you are reading this, chances are one or more of your important relationshps are not working very well. Whether it's difficulty with a partner or spouse, teens or parents, friends or co-workers, a troubled relationship is painful.
