Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
After 25-years as a psychotherapist I know that the events which brought a client into counseling are really "openings" for the client to explore and review their life journey to date. My clients tell me, I am an expert in supporting this work for any number of reasons. I am a skilled, intuitive and compassionate listener. At the same time, I am direct, deeply perceiving and challenging. As a former religious sister, lay Buddhist and practising Vedantist, I tend to see the Spiritual (not religious) backdrop to all that is happening. "Soul-centered" best desccribes my work. My golden lab "Buddy" has been my co-therapist the past 10 years and remains so, now. We work out of a homey-office space located on the 7-acre grounds of a local retreat house. I am currently training as a "spiritual director" to further broaden the help I can offer clients who are seeking a deeper journey.
