Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
It's possible to: -Stop people-pleasing. -Figure out who YOU are and what YOU want to do. -SLOW DOWN. -Know and speak your truth. -Move past the trauma of the past. -Connect more easily with partners and friends. -Overcome unhealthy coping habits. -Figure out if you're in the right relationships. -Feel comfortable in your own skin. Whether as an individual or as a couple, you will come away from our work with more choice and freedom in your life. I am a holistic psychotherapist in Emeryville, CA (near Oakland and Berkeley). I work with individuals and couples specializing in stress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, multicultural and immigrant issues, trauma, sexuality issues, repetitive behavior patterns and more. We may explore how your past is impacting your present, explore what is happening in the room, and notice how your body can be a huge resource to healing. I also am trained in Attachment-based EMDR for both spot trauma and developmental trauma.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
