Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
My non-judgmental and nurturing style enhances my work: improving wellness & health, deepening relationships, and unlocking energy and creativity inorder to find more happiness and be more successful in all pursuits. I am passionate about mind/body health and Interpersonal Neurobiology: the brain, mindfulness, and relationships. With focus and intention, couples and individuals can release old patterns of behavior, improve communication, & appreciate their relationships more. Couples with small children benefit from my understanding of the challenges of staying connected while consciously parenting. My experience as a birth and postpartum doula enhances my work with expectant couples and women (anxiety, depression, fertility, postpartum & prenatal health, grief and loss). I have taught toddlers through teens at private and public schools. I have counseled families & children from pre-k-12 in private, public, and non-public schools (including learning differences & Asperger/Autism) for over ten years and families with developmentally challenged adults. I have led teen and children’s groups including those which focus on social skills. I see some children and teens in my practice. I am an active member of the California Teachers’ Association. Contact me for referrals: I have a large network of community referrals in the Los Angeles area.

Are you stressed out? Do you sometimes find yourself snapping at your children? Would you describe your relationship with your husband as “distant”? Or do you feel like you are going to lose it if someone doesn’t give you a break? Being a mother, wife, or daughter can stretch us to our limits. During times like these it can feel like the world has been turned “upside down”. There is HOPE! You don’t have to figure this out alone. Let’s talk and see if I can help you make things “right side up” again.
