Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
My specialty and focus is in helping you repair relationships so that you are able to ask for what you want and need, and you are able to respond successfully to the requests of loved ones for what they want and need. We all live with protective armor that keeps us safe from life's pain, but can also keep out the loving connection we long for. I will help you learn to take off your armor so that you are able to live fully and love completely.

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
San Rafael, CA

My therapeutic style is non-judgmental, supportive, and interactive. My work is based on establishing a safe environment where trust can grow. I view symptoms as a way to call attention to unrecognized needs and unexpressed feelings. The goals of treatment include; learning to identify and express emotions, learning to set appropriate boundaries, developing skills such as self-soothing and impluse control and improving self-esteem.
