Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
My office is in a quiet office building on Scotts Valley Drive in Scotts Valley. There is ample easy parking. I work with individuals, couples, and families. My areas of expertise include single-parent families, substance abuse, love addiction, codependency, adult children of alcoholics, and abuse survivors. My practice style is eclectic, drawing from a variety of psychotherapeutic orientations. How I work depends on the goals and needs of each particular client. I work with each client differently, tailoring my practice style to their specific needs. In our first meeting we will discuss your life today, and your concerns and goals. In a safe, supportive environment you will have a sense of being heard, understood and respected. Our sessions will be confidential. In our sessions, we may discuss your family history and your life today and how that might influence your choices. We may also work on new ways of identifying limited or negative thinking that can lead to self-defeating patterns. I see clients during normal working hours, some evenings, and on weekends.
