Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
The goals of therapy follow the client’s needs. The outcome of therapy is usually greater self-knowledge, a re-integration of de-pressed thoughts, emotions, and beliefs, and a new relationship with self, others, and the world.

I am a licensed marriage and family therapist. My approach captures the innate potentials of healing and self-regulating qualities held in the person. I engage a holistic approach to therapy that often involves structured “talk” therapy, creative work, the exploration of dreams, religious experiences, and personal myths.

My years of experience and skill enable a confidential and healing environment for people to work through the difficulties of depression, grief and loss, anxiety and fear, as well as relationship, and midlife issues.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
