Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Each person's path to wholeness is a unique one. Some people may need to find ways to express themselves with more confidence, while others would benefit from increasing their ability to listen; some people may be prone to feeling overwhelmed in their lives, while others may minimize significant experiences that need examining; some may carry irrational fears that interfere with daily life, while others may need to find ways to slow down for their own safety and self-care. Through respectful and deep exploration, new skills and perspectives are discovered and integrated for a healthy, authentic and grounded life that fit the particular nature and circumstances of each person. My professional expertise and training spans a variety of issues, with particular expertise in health/illness issues, trauma, couples therapy, and cultivating creativity. EMDR and guided imagery are utilized in sessions when appropriate.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
